Surveys
Composed of thousands of still photographs, this performance piece shows live actors being used frame-by-frame as the subject of an animated film. In this way, the actor becomes a living stop motion puppet. This piece was taken a step further using digital pixilation at site specific locations. "Survey" was performed and shot in the Bisti Badlands in the northwest corner of New Mexico. |

North Pole Transmissions
A music video shot within the gypsum sand dunes of White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. The film uses over 3,000 still photographs. The name was derived from a song title by FC Kahuna and reinforces the so- called stop motion "performance" through space and and time within a magical, yet historically important, site of pure white sand dunes. |

Sad Girl
In order to make the packing process more bearable when I moved from my Singapore studio/home back to the US, I made a video time lapse. This helped me concentrate on one corner at a time so as not to get overwhelmed. Thinking about how the shot would look at the end as I cleared various cluttered spaces was motivating. |
