I lived in Singapore for about 7 years and I was struck by the rapid development there. While walking through Chinatown, I spotted an elderly woman feeding pigeons. She seemed to be in her own peaceful world as the city vibrated with hectic "progress" around her. "Auntie" is a term of respect for all older people. I was also called "Auntie" many times by the children there. I took a photograph of her and translated it into an oil painting. I have had many comments about it, so I am now selling prints here. Hopefully it can be appreciated by more people.
